Vehicle collides with tree near Strathmerton

A 26-year-old NSW man is in a stable condition after his car collided with a tree on the Murray Valley Hwy near Strathmerton on Wednesday.

The man was travelling along the Murray Valley Highway when he ran off the road and hit the tree about 8.30pm.

He was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police are investigating the cause of the crash. Any witnesses or anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
